Should I wear some sort of wrist guards when I go snowboarding for the first time?

Yes!!! You should wear them... I remember the first time I went snowboarding. I refused to wear them. The results were horrible. I fell about 20 times that day. About the 15th time I fell I didn't fall on my butt. Instead I fell to my side.Since I had no Wrist Guards I sprained My wrist and it hurt for about 3 weeks.
